Opt Lasers products always stay ahead of the curve and disrupt the established market around the globe. Our mission is to transform the laser industry and production lines by offering durable high-tech products that bring about noticeable change and are accessible to everyone.

Opt Lasers, established in 2014, is a brand of Tomorrow’s System Sp. z o.o., and a quality leader in providing compact cutting and engraving laser heads for the CNC machines and 3D printers markets.

Headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, Opt Lasers is a respected European manufacturer of high-quality optical and electronic devices. Opt Lasers’ portfolio encompasses industrial-grade laser heads for cutting and engraving, standard and custom laser modules, laser diode drivers and temperature controllers. It is also an OEM manufacturer with extensive laser characterization capabilities and can provide laser modules for integration into larger systems at scale for a variety of applications. Opt Lasers’ headquarters contain electronics and laser R&D laboratory facilities, a full-service machine shop and a well-supplied stock of components. Our customers include industrial and commercial integrators alike, original equipment manufacturers, universities and research centers, as well as end users of engraving laser heads.

Blue lasers have emerged as a game-changer in the manufacturing industry, offering a host of benefits, across various applications, that add value to products, or streamline production processes while reducing costs.

Blue laser technology is constantly evolving and the use of blue laser sources in manufacturing systems provides significant advantages over conventional cutting and engraving machinery as well as CO2 and fibre laser sources alike.

With higher laser absorption rates compared to fibre and CO2 lasers, as well as remarkably 4-5 times lower power consumption than CO2 laser solutions, Opt Lasers’ blue lasers provide unparalleled process efficiency and precision at an affordable price. In addition, recently showcased at the Ligna 2023 trade fair on Felder Group’s Hammer CNC machine, the XT-50 laser head demonstrates Opt Lasers’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of blue laser technology.

Traditional options and CO2 lasers are now considered outdated, and fibre lasers are expensive while often performing worse than blue solutions. Blue laser systems provide higher absorption rates in manufacturing materials compared to other lasers.

This translates to greatly reduced operational costs and a greener and more precise approach to manufacturing, enabling manufacturers to achieve exceptional results in a shorter timeframe.

In woodworking, blue galvo laser engravers offer exceptional capabilities for tasks like pallet engraving, ageing, blackening, and restructuring, as well as marking wood products.

In metalworking, blue lasers can process metals such as stainless steel, tool steel, Titanium, Tungsten Carbide, or Tungsten. They can be used for welding, burning, sintering, cladding, melting or metal hardening. Moreover, blue lasers excel in micro-welding copper, micro-soldering, soldering as well as welding metals or plastics together.

In the case of engraving metals, this is because of the innate preference of various metals for shorter wavelengths. The first graph below shows the absorption of different laser wavelengths for a selection of commonly used metals.

The second graph, on the other hand, shows the reflectivity of a wider selection of metals versus the laser wavelength used. The lower the reflectivity, the higher the laser absorption is.
