The practical performance may however vary depending on the particular material’s manufacturer, material type (or alloy in the case of metals) as well as its production process, which influences its composition, thermal conductivity, and surface roughness among other important factors. Exact materials of interest should be tested for final verification. In addition, the material’s color is of great importance as well. Darker colors yield better results, while lighter or semi-transparent colors are worse. Blue colors might often be difficult and sometimes even impossible to laser cut or laser engrave. White-colored materials are often also impossible to be laser processed as white materials reflect blue light. For instance, the XF+ laser head can engrave dark stone, while it won’t be able to engrave white stone or marble.

PLH3D-Series were created as a series of compact and lightweight laser heads. Their versatility allows them to be used on almost all CNC machines available on the market. They are ideal even for the smallest CNC machines.

A fast driver built inside the laser head protects it from the inductance effects and allows the highest laser diode modulation frequency. These laser heads do not require any additional cooling which means they can be used for prolonged periods of continuous work.

This series is compatible with accessories like µSpot Upgrade, High-Pressure Air Assist Nozzle, and LaserDock. The length of the cable between the power supply and the laser head can be up to several meters long without causing any problems, which means PLH3D-Series can be installed even in the most demanding of workplaces.

The PLH3D-XT-Series laser engraving heads are based on the PLH3D-6W series laser engraving heads. They’ve inherited all the advantages of our 6W-Series such as versatility, compact size, and fast signal modulation.

The XT-50 and XT-10 laser heads achieve a beam spot widths of less than 50 µm and less than 10 µm correspondingly. For comparison, the diameter of a single human hair is 17-181 µm.

A combination of anamorphic optics, small emitter laser diodes, and short emitting wavelength provide incredible results.
