Many types of CNC machines and 3D printers with different control voltage standards and levels available on the market may be used to control the PLH3D head. The PLH3D-CNC Adapter converts all these signals to the standard compatible with the PLH3D head. The PLH3D-CNC Adapter contains widely used industry-standard screw connectors. A dedicated desktop low-noise power supply unit assures compatibility and reliability as well as eliminates problems caused by using third-party power supplies. The general status (power, armed, laser working) may be checked at a glance by watching three LEDs.
PLH3D Magnetic Nozzle
Aluminum nozzle dedicated to the PLH3D-6W laser heads.
The nozzle significantly improves the airflow and removes smoke during engraving. This advantage guarantees that such obstacles will not affect the depth or color of the engravement. Proper shaping of the airflow additionally extends the lifetime of the lens by blocking dirty air from creating air whirlpools and going back to the lens.
The nozzle can work also as a 43 mm diameter spindle adapter. When used this way, it should be mounted on the laser head with an additional four M3 screws. However, thanks to the magnets, it is also possible not to mount the nozzle with screws in the spindle holder. The nozzle can be attached or detached from the laser head quickly which makes it easy to change the focus distance by turning the lens.
X-Carve PLH3D Holder
Specially designed at the request of X-Carve users asking for this kind of accessory. The holder makes it possible to mount the laser head on the X-Carve machine in two positions (lower or higher) on both sides of the spindle. Additional holes allow using the holder with both LaserDock and the PLH3D-6W lasers heads, while the PLH3D 2.8 W laser head can be mounted directly on the holder. The second type of mounting is an economical solution for users who do not use the docking station.
Opt Lasers provides spare parts for the laser heads. The lens is one of the major part of the laser head and hence it is of paramount importance to keep them clean. When working with fuming materials like rubber or wood one should check the cleanliness of the lens regularly. They can be cleaned using pure ethanol and optics wipes. Scratches or dirt may cause the diode to get damaged because of the back reflection. This is why if any problems are observed, the lens is the first parts which should be checked. Very frequently cleaning the lens in an inappropriate way or without proper equipment hinders achieving intended results. Since the lens is inexpensive, it is recommended to keep a few of them in stock in order to immediately change them any time when needed.
